We Surround Them

This is from the Glenn Beck webpage:
So many of us who truly believe in this country, but think common sense is dead, feel alone these days. When one caller said he was ready to unplug because he was so frustrated, Glenn asked him to give him a few weeks to prove that he wasn't alone. Today, Glenn starts trying to make this idea into a reality. Step one---if you believe in the principles that this country was founded on---please email an individual picture of you--and each member of your family who wants to participate to wesurroundthem@gmail.com. This isn't about parties, it's about principles. More details to follow. By submitting a picture, you are agreeing to have your image used for the purposes of this project.

Glenn has a list of 9 statements that he wonders how many people agree with. We won't agree with all of them, but if you agree with most of them please email your picture.
Here is the list:
1. Do you Believe that America is a good place? Are our Founding Documents good? Yes or No
2. I believe in God. Yes or No
3. It is my responsibility to be Better than I was yesterday.
4. The Family is Sacred.
5. If you break the Law you pay the Penalty, Justice is Blind and no one is above it.
6. I have a Right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but that is not a gaurantee of Equal results.
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with others that I choose, when I choose, how I choose... government CANNOT force me to be Charitible.
8. It is not unAmerican for anyone to dissagree with my opinion. But my opinion and other opinions might be ANTI american. Anything that is distructive to the Constitution is Anti
9. The government Works for me... The government Answers to me I do not Answer to the government....

Not much new

So I haven't posted in a long time, but there isn't much new to tell. Drake is back in school and doing ok. Tristan is growing and playing. Shane is working, and working on getting into Graduate School. He passed the Miller's Analogies Test (MAT) with a good enough score to get in, now we just have to turn in all of the other material and wait. I am just delivering newspapers and being mom.
Tristan did just start taking swimming lessons. He loves to swim so we thought it was important for him to learn how. Drake is still doing swim team and loving it.
Our lives are pretty normal for now, but we will let you know when we have anything exciting happen.

Christmas

Christmas was fun for our family this year. We got to go to Shane's parents house. There was lots of snow (it had been snowing for the whole week before and then after Christmas). We drove over on Christmas eve. The weather was fine until we hit Sandhollow, and then it started snowing and just got worse til we arrived at their house. The snow was a lot of fun for the kids. We had a nice Christmas, getting some of the things we wanted, and some we didn't know we wanted. We also had fun with Shane's family. They boys enjoyed playing with their cousins and playing in the snow.

We tried to go sledding but the car got stuck in the snow.

So we decided to stay and just play in the snow at Nani and Bompi's house.
On the way home, I-86 was closed so we stopped at my Grandparents house and had a small dinner. We also got our presents from them. It was nice to see them for a little bit before the roads opened and we were able to go home.
