On Saturday we decided to go to the Idaho Falls Zoo. We got tickets from my dad and headed out. We have never been so only knew what to expect from what Jeremy, Julie, and Austin had told us. It was a pretty nice day, not too hot and not too cold...but we put on hats and sunscreen anyway. The new frog exhibit opened on Saturday so we got to see the frogs and that was neat. At first the male lion was the only one out, but as we stood there the female lion came out and joined him. The tiger was walking around, and the singing dogs were cool too (they don't really sing, but it is a very neat sound that they make when they bark). As we were headed out of the zoo we saw a zoo worker with a hawk on his arm. We asked him about it and he said that they were going to be in a show that started soon. We followed him but just as they were getting things ready for the show it started to rain, so we headed for the car.

From the zoo we headed to the Museum of Idaho to see the World of the Pharaohs exhibit. The museum is a really cool place, and they have lots of good exhibits that come. The kids love to go play in the children's discovery room, so Shane and I take turns looking at the exhibits and watching the kids. One of the really cool things that we saw was a mummy of a kitten. On our way out of the museum we saw a machine that would write your name in hieroglyphics, so we got one for each of us. It was a great day together, and fun for all.
